Over 120 years of history

A hard-working family, the thousand-year history of generous lands, a small and noisy inn where you can refresh yourself with simple dishes of the peasant tradition, work in the fields, intuition for goodness, a woman - Generosa - and her liqueur.

It is in this intertwining that the NUMA Distillery has its roots, a company owned by the Pusceddu family intrinsically linked to the territory of Tarquinia, in the province of Viterbo, whose countryside was already cultivated in ancient times by the Etruscan populations.

The Liqueur
of Generosa

The Distillery was in fact born as a spin-off of the historic Agriturismo, whose origins can be traced back to the beginning of the last century, precisely in 1903, when Nicola Capitani served the customers of his restaurant an alcoholic decoction of herbs with refreshing and digestive properties, which gives the name of his daughter: Generosa.

The Generosa Liqueur, offered at the end of the meal, begins to make its way into the tastes of local people and foreigners, becomes part of the tradition of the area and is lost in legend, until Mario and Gianfranco Pusceddu, descendants of Generosa, decide on it. recall the memory in the mid-nineties: it was then that the two brothers, already active in the family farm, founded a liquor factory together, recreating, with modern techniques, the ancient flavors that arise from the mixture of herbs from the lands of the Valle del Marta, on those same lands cultivated by the ancient Etruscans.

Since 1902

NUMA distillery: passion for goodness

Today the flavor nuances of the Generosa Liqueur come back to life in the Amaro Tarquinia, among the flagship products of the NUMA Distillery. It is accompanied by many other products, not just bitters: brandy, grappa, gin and spirits. All united by a passion for goodness. That same passion that for over 120 years has pushed us every day to improve ourselves to offer flavors to remember.
